ChessDating is not an emergency service. If you or someone else may be in immediate danger, contact local emergency services. Then report the account so the safety team can preserve relevant records and act on the platform.
Before you meet
- Keep early conversations in ChessDating and do not share your home, workplace, daily routine, passwords, or financial information.
- Use your own transportation, choose a busy public place, tell someone you trust where you are going, and arrange a check-in time.
- Do not rely on identity or age verification as a character guarantee. Verification reduces some risks; it does not prove that a person is safe or truthful.
- Control your own food and drinks, keep your phone charged, and leave whenever you feel uncomfortable. You never owe anyone a date, a rematch, or continued contact.
Scams and sextortion
Never send money, cryptocurrency, gift cards, account credentials, verification codes, or intimate content to someone you met through the service. Treat requests involving an emergency, investment, travel cost, prize, fee, or “proof of trust” as warning signs. Stop contact, save what you safely can, block the account, and report it.
Location and privacy
ChessDating uses approximate location only when you choose it. Avoid putting exact addresses or uniquely identifying routines in a profile or chat. Before uploading a photo, check the background for mail, badges, school or workplace names, license plates, children, or other people who did not consent to appear.
Report and block
Use Report from the member or conversation screen and choose the closest reason. The form can also block the account immediately. Blocking closes direct interaction; reporting creates a private moderation case. We do not tell the reported member who submitted the report.
How to reach us
Email safety@chessdating.com for a safety concern that cannot be submitted in the app. Include the member name, a link or message reference if available, what happened, and how we may contact you. Do not email suspected child sexual abuse material or forward intimate images.
